Megs is a screenwriter, novelist, playwright, actor, and theatre instructor based in Canada. As a writer, she has an interest in telling stories of loss and self-discovery through a whimsical lens. Her lyrical and witty writing style often centres the human condition, combining nuanced characters, imaginative world-building, moments of truth, and unexpected narratives.

Megs first came to television’s attention as the series creator for Ask Will on the TELUS Network, a digital comedy about modern-day Will Shakespeare writing a romance advice column, directed by Nicholas Carella and produced by Athena Russell. She hit international news when she was selected to help develop a screen adaptation of the e-book sensation Cupid's Match for the CW Seed Network. Produced again by Athena Russell, her proof-of-concept trailer was the runner-up to receive the pilot contract. In 2019, Megs’ original play Twentysomething (distributed by the Canadian Play Outlet) premiered in Vancouver to full houses and was shortlisted for the Playwrights’ Guild of Canada’s Tom Hendry Emerging Playwright Award. In 2020 Megs published Acorns & Roots, “a romantic fantasy that’s dark, genuine, and joyous, by turns” (Kirkus Reviews). Currently, she works as senior writer for an international acting studio, is writing a second novel, and is the director and choreographer for a charming children’s production of The Wizard of Oz.
